As we continue to strive to reach our goals as an organisation, one of our utmost goals is to promote and contribute to Education and literacy in schools and communities in Kamuli district through the Library project. One route to achieve this has been improving understocked school libraries where school going children can easily access reading material free of charge and this time our beneficiary is Bukakande Muslim Primary School.

With support from ENJUBA SPELLING BEE and AFRICAN LIBRARY PROJECT through the ENJUBA Reading & Libraries program, Amacue Foundation was delighted to receive a donation of 1000 books on behalf of Bukakande Muslim Primary School.
These books were in categories suitable for primary education which included; Story books, Facts, Encyclopedia, Historical Books, Literature, Fiction novels and Self-help.

With excitement and gratitude, the Amacue Foundation team delivered the books to Bukakande Muslim Primary school on 15th May 2024 after carrying out due diligence.

The team was welcomed by part of the school administration and some of Primary six and seven pupils. The Amacue Foundation team handed over the books to the Head Mistress (Madam Fatumah Nakiranda).

We strongly believe the increase in reading material in this school library and allocation of library time on the school time table will spark a reading culture and literacy at all levels.
