Under the Education Advocacy programme, one of our utmost goals is to promote literacy in schools and communities in Kamuli district. One route to achieve this has been improving understocked school libraries where school going children can easily access reading material free of charge.
With support from ENJUBA SPELLING BEE and AFRICAN LIBRARY PROJECT through the ENJUBA Reading & Libraries program, Amacue Foundation was delighted to receive a donation of 1034 books on behalf of Kabukye Primary School UMEA.
These books were in categories suitable for primary education which included; Story books, Facts, Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Historical Books, Literature, Fiction novels and Self-help.
With excitement and gratitude, the Amacue Foundation team delivered the books to Kabukye Primary school UMEA on 05th May 2023 after carrying out due diligence.
The team was welcomed by part of the school administration, PTA deputy, the School management committee chairperson and some pupils.
The managing Director-Amacue Foundation handed over the books to the Head Mistress (Alice Nadyanga).
We strongly believe the increase in reading material in this school library will positively impact the reading ability and literacy at all levels.

for partnering with Amacue Foundation in restocking our school library.
Our learners, Teachers and Community are going to benefit from the books we have received. They are going to improve on their vocabulary and develop a reading culture.
We commit to use the library regularly and make sure the Books are well kept.
